I thought that I have strong opinions on the responsibility of bringing children into the world, but this author makes me look weak. That said, while I find some of the suggestions a bit over the top, I also think everyone that cares about poverty should read this book and allow it to spark a serious conversation about how to change the system. A system that needs serious change.

I don't agree with Government control because I think that opens up a whole different set of problems. However, I must say I agree with most of what was said in these pages. Especially the part about ending the reward system for having children that you cannot care for on your own. There are some fantastic ideas in these pages. Thank you Rhonda for having the courage to speak out.
Living in a depressed area in upstate NY, I am surrounded by poverty. I bought and read this book this evening. Rhonda writes an insightful look into a cause and cures for poverty in our country. Congratulations on displaying intrepidity in writing what so many of us are thinking but lack the courage to verbalize. Rhonda invites her readers to engage in discussions on her article/book. I plan to take her up on her invitation. I look forward to hearing more of her thoughts on this subject and perhaps adding a few thoughts of my own on this disturbing state of our system.
